Two U.S. military trainers were shot dead by Jordanian security forces in an exchange of gun fire at an air base Friday, the Jordanian army said. The trainers were in a car that failed to stop at the gate of the base. A third American and a Jordanian officer were wounded in the gun fire at the Al-Jafr air force base in Southern Jordan. Jordan is a close ally of the United States.
